It’s already bad that parts of Abaco remain without power since Hurricane Dorian hammered the island last September. Now, the part of Abaco where power supply was restored has been in darkness for 11 hours due to mechanical problems.
North Abaco was plunged into darkness at 1:10am Tuesday and electricity is still off.
Bahamas Power and Light reported mechanical problems at the Cooper’s Town Temporary Generation site supplying North Abaco.
“Customers in the North have been without power since 1:10AM,” according to the BPL statement.
BPL said it is working diligently to return service in the area as soon as possible.
