Police have charged a suspect in the country’s latest murder.

Investigators believe that Richard McNeil is responsible for the July 6 murder of 36-year-old Don “Suggie” Rahming.

Residents of Bain Town found Rahming dead in bushes around 6am on July 7. They heard gunshots around 10pm the night before.

McNeil, 27, of Dorsette Alley, didn’t have to enter a plea to the murder charge when he appeared before Chief Magistrate Joyann Ferguson-Pratt today.

He’s been refused bail and returns to court on October 14.

Outside court, McNeil’s relatives told him that they knew he was innocent.
