A man was shot and killed on Harbor Island, Eleuthera on Friday night.
Police on the island received reports of a shooting incident on Barret Street around 10pm.
Responding officers met a man lying on the ground outside a home with apparent gunshot wounds.
The local doctor later examined the shooting victim and pronounced him dead.
This is the community’s first murder for the year.
