Former Prime Minister Hubert Ingraham has been hospitalized with COVID-19.
The three-time PM, age 73, was admitted to Doctors Hospital on Monday after experiencing severe symptoms of the virus.
Ingraham is considered high-risk due to his age. He suffered a mild heart attack over a decade ago.
It is unclear if any of his close relatives were infected as well.
Ingraham has lived a life away from the spotlight since his party lost the 2012 General Election and he resigned his North Abaco seat.
The Gallery understands Ingraham’s wife, Delores, also has COVID-19 but her symptoms are not as severe.
Insiders tell the Gallery Ingraham is “progressing well” and responding positively to treatment.
He is expected to be released from hospital in a few days.
We wish him a speedy recovery.
