Grand Bahama Resident Edwin Bauld, aged 41, appeared in the Magistrates Court in Freeport before Magistrate Laquay Laing today on several serious charges, including Receiving, Disseminating or Distributing Pornographic Material, Conspiracy to Commit Extortion, and Causing or Inciting a Child to be involved in Pornography.
The charges stem from the circulation of a pornographic video on social media.
Bauld was not required to enter a plea during his arraignment.
Magistrate Laing denied bail, citing the gravity of the charges and the ongoing investigation.
As a result, Bauld has been remanded to the Bahamas Department of Correctional Services.
The next court date for Bauld has been set for September 26.
