A policeman accused of raping his mistress will no longer face trial after prosecutors discontinued the case.
Superintendent Kyle Capron was arrested on October 25, 2024 after his 25-year-old girlfriend alleged that he raped her in a police car.
The matter was formally dropped when Capron, 42, appeared before Justice Franklyn Williams.
Capron, who is married to a policewoman, was suspended and on half pay.
He spent a week on remand before he was granted bail for the charge.
