Director of Security at the Airport Authority Stephanie Demeritte has been handed her walking papers.
Demeritte, who oversaw security operations at Lynden Pindling international Airport (LPIA), is a former superintendent of police.
However, when the Free National Movement took office in 2017, the staunch FNM supporter took a major career leap from superintendent to security chief of the country’s airports.
Demeritte, who is a campaign general for Former Prime Minister Dr. Hubert Minnis, snatched the senior position from Former Assistant Commissioner of Police Eugene Cartwright, who was appointed Director of Security under the Christie Administration.
It is unclear who will replace Demeritte.
However, sources in the Airport Authority tell the Gallery, they are working to weed out political hacks who feed information to Minnis and other senior FNMs since the party was kicked out of office on September 16.
