A 35-year-old woman from Florida drowned in The Bahamas on Saturday.
The incident took place at the Union Jack Public Dock at 2pm.
Police were alerted to the situation and arrived to find the unresponsive woman receiving Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) from a family member.
Despite efforts to revive her, she did not respond and was transported to a nearby medical facility, where she was pronounced dead upon arrival.
At this stage in the investigation, police do not suspect foul play, as there were no visible signs of trauma on the woman’s body.
However, an autopsy will be conducted to determine the exact cause of death.
The investigation is ongoing as authorities seek to gather more information about the events leading up to the tragic incident.
